Barn Quilt Locations
Quilt Pattern: Oliver Wheel
Faessler Farms
W1156 Stateline Rd.
Juda, WI 53550
History
The property has been in the family since 1963, when August Faessler (Nick's Dad) bought the 40 acre farm. The barn was built in the early 1930's. The foundation is hand-mixed concrete. It was originally used as a dairy barn. It also housed horses and pigs, but is now used for storage.
Comments
This farm adjoins the original farm that August Faessler bought in 1941. His sons Pat and Nick have farmed together since 1979 and bought the farm in 1999. The family chose the pattern "Carpetner's Wheel" but changed it slightly to "Oliver Wheel" because Nick has 6 collector Oliver Tractors and the farm is farmed with 8 Oliver Tractors.
